Week 6
Video!!
"Pure War" My concept is to show how humans/people in today's society are greedy and how technology is the main factor of that problem and not seeing the bigger picture.
So what I created on Crysis is that there are objects representing technology placed around the environment (glowing).. then as the character approaches the objects the glow fades off and cannot be picked up.. symbolises today's society and their greed and hunger for the latest technology and not realising how it affects their lives and the environment around them in a way

Week 2 - Independant Study
Paul Virilio's concept of "Pure War!"
How I engaged Paul Virilio's concept was through creating
an object in Sketchup representing a solid Head Quarter that
could withstand an enemy attack...

Week1 - Pachube Research
Pachube: Home Monitoring
The main aspects that interests most is the way new technology increases in automation in homes and other things/devices. In this feed, says "Two Arduinos control the home and measure stuff, they talk to each other using I2C." Through a web device such as a USB or a iphone or any device that enables a web network. The monitoring involves everything with the home such as the temperature, lighting, energy use, all types of sensors etc. All this was freezing to frequently though it was replaced so it stopped.
